Today (Feb 5) is Midterm. Please check in on your scholar's grades and then reach out to your Family Advisor to figure out next steps in helping your scholar to be passing all classes. Tomorrow (Friday, February 5) is Midterm. We mailed grades home last week so that parents and scholars could be aware of areas needing attention. Please act now. The entire Evolution Unit was due in January. This learning packet has 4 birds on the cover and is inside a large white envelope with green edging. We need the following pages from this unit back ASAP: * P. 7-8 * P. 17-19 * P. 37-38 OR P. 41-42 Scholars can upload these assignments to Canvas, email them to an Advisor or teacher, or text a photo of these completed pages to 801.633.6755. In looking at grades across our school, we can see that many scholars still need to complete the learning for the Evolution Unit AND submit evidence of that learning ASAP. If you have not yet been to the post office or checked grades in Aspire, we urge you to do this task today so that you can support your scholar in catching up! SPECIAL NOTE: We delivered a large white envelope last week with a hot pink label that says "Biodiversity Unit". These learning materials started on Monday, February 1, and the first assignment is due next week. Advisors and teachers are ready to help your scholar with all learning. San Juan School District is saddened to hear of the passing of Albert Hale, former president of the Navajo Nation. In recognition of his service to others, SJSD will join with all Navajo Nation schools in paying tribute to his life by flying our flags at half-mast through Saturday, February 6th.

Exciting News! The Navajo Nation student internet project is back up and progressing. New contractual agreements have been made and work has resumed. One should see workers in the field in the next few days.
